Mark your calendars!

Inking Pink Blog Hop (Oct 26 to Oct 31)

Our paper crafting community spans the globe and brings all of us together under a common roof. Join me, and 21 (or more) other talented women for our first Blog Hop for Awareness that has been creatively titled "Inking Pink".

Many of us have family or friends that have been affected by breast cancer and all of us want to encourage all of you to check yourself! For those of us at The Beary Scrap DT, we have recently found out that our dearest friend and alumni team mate has Breast Cancer. In her honor, we are "hopping" in hopes of helping to spread awareness throughout the world.

The hop will start October 26 at our Hostess Patricia's blog at http://pattyandcharlie.blogspot.com/. From there you will be guided on a journey around the world to visit all the talented artists participating in this amazing event. Some of your fellow crafters along the hop are even offering blog candy! Please be sure to give a little comment of love to each and every crafter along the way.

The hop will run through October 31 to give all of you enough time to "hop" around and visit each blog.

We all hope you will join us in our hop, and most of all we all want YOU to give yourself the greatest gift and do a self-check. The more you do it, the more breast aware you will be!

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge

This is my entry for this week's Cricut Circle Blog challenge! I made cuts using French Manor and Forever Young. I added Glimmer Mist so the papers would blend better.

Flower Soft Hop - Autumn Colors!

Ready for a hop? How about a challenge too?

This week’s challenge – Autumn Colors!

This week we’ll be giving away TWO prize packages! One prize package will be given away on the blog hop and another will be chosen among people who make a card using Flower Soft and post it in the Splitcoast Gallery using the keyword FSC07. Both prize winners will be chosen and announced on the Flower Soft blog on October 22nd. The winner of the Splitcoast Gallery challenge will have their card featured on the Flower Soft Blog on 22nd!!!

If you didn’t start at the beginning of the hop please go to the beginning at the Flower Soft Blog.

As you make your way through the hop make sure you comment on each and every post. There will be a prize winner chosen randomly among the blogs. The prizes (one set for Splitcoast players and one set for the blog hop!) :

Hedgerow Friends Toppers – Picking Up Leaves

Hedgerow Friends Sentiments

Ultra Fine Sage

Nut Brown Flower Soft

Autumn Flower Soft

Flower Soft Glue

For my card, I used a couple of JustRite Stamps - Applique for my medallion (framed with Spellbinders Lacey Squares) and the sentiment is from Baroque Nested Frames. I used the new Earth Utrafine Flower Soft to add dotted details to the stamped image and the Citrus Crush Ultrafine for the flower in the center. I love the chunky look of our new gold and silver Flower Soft, so I added some gold around my border. I used double punched borders using Kreaxions punch # 904.

October's Really Reasonable Ribbon Hop

Welcome to this month's edition of the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop. Today is kind of sad, because it is my last hop as a member of the RRR DT. It has been so much fun getting to play with all of the beautiful ribbons that Bonnie has to offer. I know the new team will inspire you! If you have been following the ribbon path to get here, you should have arrived from Mindy's Blog. If you just stumbled upon this hop, then you will want to go back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings to start. Be sure to leave a little love at each team member's post to be eligible to win this month's kit.

I did something really fun for today's hop - I made a Christmas banner. Now I know these colors are more along the lines of a Dr. Seus Christmas, but that's part of the fun. I love edging my rosettes with ribbon and the Sheer Ruffled Edge ribbon is perfect for adding frills as well. All of the stamps for the ornaments and 3-dimensional flowers are from Heartfelt Creations.

So, I guess it's time to get hopping to the very talented Amber's Blog. I know she will have something fantastic to share with you.

Here is a blog hop list for you, just in case you get lost along the way.

Get Krafty!

This week at the Beary Scrap, we are getting Krafty - with Kraft paper that is. Have you seen the Haunted Line by MME? Have you felt it? Oh my! It is the coolest Kraft paper with black flocked designs. I really love it! It is so much more luxurious in person than you could ever tell from a picture. I colored Bat-Tilda from Magnolia with copics, and propped her up on a Kraft tag that I sprayed Black Gold Glimmer Mist over a Glimmer Screen to produce that cool negative effect pattern. I cut the flower out of a brown paper bag and used Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist to give it a little shine.

Who would have thought you could do so many cool things with grocery bag paper!

Challenges:
Flourishes: sketch
Magnolialicious: Use a brown paper bag on your project

Simon Says: Halloween
Your Next Stamp: Grow Your Own (DIY Flowers)

Did you figure out from my title that this week we have a recipe challenge for you at Karen's Doodles? It should be fun! We want to see 1 image, 2 papers and 3 types of embellishments. For my card this week, I used Scarecrow Girl. I thought the rustic ribbon, buttons tied with linen thread and tattered flower were just the right embellishments.

We hope you will play along with us!
